I just downloaded the Billie Holiday song "Strange Fruit" yesterday, and hadn't listened to it yet. I'm listening to it right now. :) (Smile)

This is just my opinion, but I think this piece would have been better without the ripple distortion effect. From what I can tell, the original picture looks awesome -- shadowy and well-drawn, and while I know you were trying to emphasize a point it just blurs the edges and detail. I think the drawings natural focal point is strong enough to not need to added emphasis.

I think the subject matter is very strong, and one for thought. Nice job capturing that.

I Agree With Warble
In My own Opinion However I think it is a very powerful and emtional peice.
Being white and japanese myself it angers me that racism would resort to such an over the top action.
If I lived backed than I probably would have been an abolitionist.
I am also angered at the fact that racism still involves killings, lynchings and other over the top actions just because of the color of our skin.

I like personally the ripple effect isn't nessecary but it all looks well and extremely well thought out, and I'm glad to be able to inspire you man.
